Measles advisory: information for students and staff AUT students and staff are being asked to take extra precautions to ensure they are fully immunised against measles. The number of Aucklanders diagnosed with the disease continues to grow and there are three confirmed cases of AUT students contracting measles and one staff member. Measles is a highly infectious disease that can lead to complications.
The Auckland Regional Public Health Service urges you to make sure you are immunised against measles. This is the best protection from the disease, and is free for everyone who needs it. If you were born after 1969 and have not had measles, or have not had your two measles vaccinations, contact your doctor or one of the numbers below. If you’re unsure of your immunisation status, you may be able to have a measles vaccination - please discuss this with your doctor or nurse.
Measles is usually spread through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. A person with measles is infectious for up to five days before and four days after the rash appears. If you have measles, it is important to stay at home to avoid spreading it.
If you think you may have measles, or need a measles vaccination, contact your own doctor or one of these health providers for advice:

不过中国1965年后开始普种麻疹疫苗,大部分城市婴儿一出生就会接种麻疹疫苗,所以大家可以问一下父母自己有没有接种过麻疹疫苗,如果没有种过,这边的家庭医生可以接种麻疹疫苗
