Product Manager / Category Manager
Alpha Group Limited is an Auckland based company founded in 1998 engaging in the developing, manufacturing, and marketing of health supplements. Currently Alpha Group is developing a new brand and online platform focusing on selling New Zealand made products to the end consumers in China.
We are currently looking for someone who has previous experience in Product Development, Product Management or Category Management (preferably in Health Supplement, Food and Beverage, FMCG industry) to lead our planning and product development work at Alpha Group.
The Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Monitor, analyse, and evaluate market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Evaluate and liaise with suppliers for new product development.
- Set development processes and standards.
- Work closely with both NZ and China Sales and Marketing teams.
- Serve as the point person for all communication.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, performing end to end sourcing activities.
- Experience managing supplier contracts and compliance.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- A can do attitude, a team player.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, food science or supply chain management or related degree.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese would be an advantage but not a must.
