Due to the departure of a valued team member, we have the opportunity for a Mortgage Application Specialist to join our team based in Avondale, Auckland.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Review and verify client's supporting documents
- Thoroughly conduct credit assessment and evaluate eligibility.
- Discuss with Adviser for any discrepancy between handover and client information.
- Follow up with the prospect to clarify and/or seek more documentation to ensure the best outcome for the application.
- Professionally prepare and submit applications to lenders, adhering to and complying with all statutory regulations and lenders' guidelines.
- Follow up with lenders and answer lenders' questions.
- Negotiate with lenders to achieve the best possible outcome and terms that can be offered.
- Obtain bank's approval and check approval outcome against proposed.
- Update client with application progress in a timely manner
- Help client qualify property security.
- Follow up approval conditions once the new security is confirmed.
- Request pricing and lock rates for client.
- Assist client with completion of various settlement forms.
- Liaise with accountant, legal firm, valuer, lenders to ensure a smooth settlement.
- Arrange loan approval renew before expiry.
- Update CRM systems.
- Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines.
- Attend relevant trainings/meetings as required.
- Keep up to date with bank lending policy/process/ rates changes

Skills and experience
- At least 2 years in residential home loan lending experience with NZ banks, mortgage advisory practices or financial organisations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, multitasking, prioritising and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Fluent Mandarin and English in writing, speaking and listening.
- Have a strong passion for providing solution and superb experience to clients
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- Team player and able to work without supervision
