Dim Sum Chef
We are currently seeking experienced Dim Sum Chef to join our kitchen brigade on a full time basis. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a restaurant and/or hotel with a proven ability to work on his/her own. You will need to have excellent knowledge in Cantonese cuisine; able to prepare volume siu mai, BBQ buns and other types of dim sum required for all our events and outlets. You must have a solid understanding of HACCP and the ability to interact confidently with guests and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Running the section in a smooth and efficient manner
- Able to prepare volume quantity of Dim Sum/siu mai items on your own
- Maintain a high level of functionality and efficiency, demonstrating food cost control practices
- Ensure high standards of hygiene as per HACCP standards within the kitchen as well as your section
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Dim Sum Chef for 3 to 5 years
- An up-to-date food hygiene certificate
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment
- Be self-motivated & self-disciplined
- An ability to 'think outside the square' and a creative flare
