Trump will get elected.

The next round is US Stock will increase another 30% after USA election. So as Auckland real estate 10%-20% in a year's time if National is back to the government.

National will continue its policy of "Give me a fish i eat for a day, teach me to fish, i eat for a life time".  Beneficiaries will be pushed to work rather than waiting for hangout.

It's hard to image why US stock is still up. Seems Coronavirus have no impact at all, but hey, there is indeed impact. ie, Apple sales will be down, Tesla EV delivery will delay, etc.

Come to Auckland property market, don't understand why prices are rocket again. As clearly not many overseas buyers, seems I underestimate locals pocket.

People are optimistic about the USA's economic policy. They have confidence in Trump for the next 4 years.

If you look at Democrats candidate (likely Bernie Sander), who is a socialist, he will have no match with Trump.

Auckland Property market is small and can easily be moved, I have seen it many times. The foreign buyers are not a big factor, many are returning kiwi (including returning Asians).

你是经济学家思维,思想受制于理论了, 尤其把中国海外买家力量看的太重要了。奥克兰市场本身就是被人为压制,只要流动性充裕,必然再次活跃。政府也默许了,否则经济就真的完蛋。

Chinese buyers seek 'boltholes' in New Zealand property market

Inquiries from Chinese buyers looking at New Zealand real estate have increased 32 per cent since the outbreak of coronavirus, property website Juwai's executive chairman says.

The website offers international property listings to Chinese purchasers.

Executive chairman Georg Chmiel said only Vietnam had seen a bigger increase in activity, up 43 per cent.

But he said in-person activity was likely to remain subdued because Chinese consumers were restricting their travel.

He said whether the New Zealand inquiries would translate into sales would depend on the residency status of the purchasers.

Chmiel said New Zealand's property market became more appealing to international buyers in times of international strife.

"Demand in New Zealand is always up when things look down. It's the classic safe place during a global crisis. New Zealand is a haven with an appealing lifestyle, clean environment, and clean food and water. It is far from most other places and safe. All of these factors make it most appealing during a crisis.

"Some Chinese are looking at New Zealand boltholes for the same reasons wealthy Americans like Peter Thiel have bought homes there."
