小弟準備開店,,不過當初衝衝忙忙申請了一個不太好聽的business名, 所以我想問大家trading name 是不是不用申請的嗎?? 因為這個trading name 也是under 我的公司名對嗎.
不過如果我搞錯了,trading name 也是要申請的話,.請問大家我可以在那里申請和check 有沒有跟別人一樣.

我也迷糊了。我注册了一个公司，并注册同名的abn 比如 aaa pty ltd
那这个aaa pty ltd 算是trading name 吗？ 我在fair trading 是搜不到我公司的名字的。如果我不注册，犯法吗？必须要注册？ 不注册，别人还能用我aaa pty ltd 注册一个trading name吗？

My understanding (may not be correct) is that trading name does not have to be the same as your company name. Trading name is like a nick name that you prefer other people to call you. It is not necessary to register your trading name. But if you do not register and other people did register the same trading name, they can require you to stop using that name. If you want to register your trading name, you need to call fair trading to check whether the name has been registered and you need to pay the registration fee I think. I had an experience of calling fair trading on behalf of a friend long time ago, so I can not remember very clearly. Hope this helps.

trading name有点象我们说的商标一类的东东：如你的XXXX PTY LTD注册了个XXXX cafe或者 XXXX steak等等。其实要是你不是有志于建立连锁，你的商标又有什么意义呢~~~~
