家住北岸,去哪里买花土。 我需要一个立方的花土。 是种蔬菜用的, garden mix 还是compost 好些?

Compost is ideal to add to existing soil so if your rose garden already contains garden soil then a top this with 15cm deep of compost, dug into the top 15cm of your existing soil. Garden mix is ideal for an empty ornamental garden bed like a raised garden. Garden mix is a mix of top soil and compost. Your vegetable garden will do well with straight compost instead of garden mix as your plants require a lot more food than your ornamental garden. It would be unlikely that commercially prepared organic compost would burn your plants but check with your local supplier as to their product content. Compost generally retains moisture without creating heavy soil, another valuable consideration for your vegetable plot. For an empty garden bed (not your rose garden) try a layered no dig garden with Leucern, newspaper and compost to top off. Sprinkle a handful per square meter of dolomite lime and steralised sheep pellets between the layers of material. You will be fine to add vegetables to your rose garden after preparing the ground first with a helping of compost as above and steralised sheep pellets, dolomite and side dress your new plants with blood and bone before applying mulch. If your soil in the rose garden is clay - then improve the soil with Gypsum and ensure that you build the top soil up to an overall depth of 20cm. You will be able to easily lift your Roses (dig them out) and re-plant at their new height at this time of year being August.
