Immediate start possible for an ECE visiting teacher with Kids Create Limited.
An exciting opportunity exists to join this home-based ECE service in the South Auckland, East Tamaki area. We are looking for a full-time or part-time teacher able to support and mentor Mandarin/Cantonese speaking educators in their homes. There is flexibility with the hours.
We are interested in hearing from qualified ECE teachers with an early childhood teaching qualification recognised by the Education Council of Aotearoa New Zealand (EDUCANZ), a current practicing certificate and a full drivers licence.
He/she will be able to work autonomously and be willing to take ownership of tasks, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and with a focus on results, he/she will be committed to resolving any issues. A flexible team player, he/she will always be positive and proactive even in situations with ambiguity or complexity.
We are looking for an individual with the following skills and attributes:
- Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin/Cantonese to support and mentor educators in their own language is essential
- Genuine love of teaching and working with children
- Experience in programme planning and assessment
- Creative ways of encouraging learning
- Knowledge of self-review processes
- Intermediate computer skills
- A confident phone manner able to follow up with all enquiries
- Strong numerical and verbal literacy skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Analytical skills for evaluation purposes
- Administration skills
- Ability to coordinate excursions and special events
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- A current first aid certificate.
Most importantly we are looking for a teacher who shares our goal of making a difference in the lives of children; who can build professional relationships with educators/families/whanau and bring their experience and passion for quality learning experiences and care.
We provide our teachers with a Smartphone, laptop and support their professional development.
