This role will be focused primarily on supporting the accountingfunction, producing monthly management and annual accounts for review. Itwill include balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with budget preparation,producing management reports and handling GST, FBT and other taxrequirements. You may from time to time be involved in AP, AR functions. Ideally you’ll have at least 3 years’ experiencewithin accounting processes.
You'll need to:
· have excellent technical accounting skills (withrelevant tertiary qualification, as a minimum)
· be methodical, well organised, adaptable and have agreat attention to details
· be highly competent in Excel and experienced in using afinancial accounting system (ideally Xero)
· have good communication skills and an ability to confidentlyand effectively handle queries from staff and clients
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform daily bank reconciliations, process AR transactionsand invoicing.
· Participation in preparation of financial reports, budgets,general ledger, inter-company transactions reconciliation, journals, and dataintegrity checks.
· Process month-end transactions through to accruals and otherad-hoc journals.
· Prepare GST returns and ensure that all tax requirements aremet and to the standard of IRD compliance.
· Monitor and forecast cash flow, providing advice forprocesses where appropriate.
