About:
A new opportunity exists for a passionate and enthusiastic tutor of Art and Design. We are looking for an experienced and successful tutor with an understanding of senior secondary school and foundation level art and design education in New Zealand, and an interest in curriculum development and facilitating the school leavers to prepare the portfolio for art and design university applications. This role is based in Albany or potentially other branches of our studio, but your mentorship contributions will be covering all the best students from all the public and private secondary and foundation schools of Auckland.
Key:
•]• To undertake a designated art area of teaching (including traditional drawing skills as well as digital design software 2D or 3D) for all the students and teach consistently high-quality sessions.
•]• To promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and the Tutor Group as a whole, fairly spread focus on every single one of the tutoring sessions.
•]• Be responsible for the studio's marketing and advertising on all platforms online and offline events/workshops.
•]• Prioritize and manage time effectively, ensuring continued professional development in teaching practice and methodology and personal skill set in line with the role.
Our ideal applicant will have:
•]• A demonstrated ability to implement strategic initiatives and manage, to completion, complex projects with multiple clients.
•]• A demonstrated success as a classroom facilitator of adult and/or senior secondary school learning.
•]• Proven traditional drawing and painting skills. Excellent skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
•]• Have a friendly 'can-do' attitude, with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
