About the business
Integritas Law Firm caters to private clients who are generally first-generation migrants from Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, and South-East Asia. Although we are a general practice firm, we do focus our work on private client litigation.
Our main practice area is civil litigation, which generally involves debt and money claims, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and civil wrongs.
We also do a sizeable amount of employment, criminal defence, and family law work.
We are also expanding our conveyancing practice this year with some property development and subdivision work on board.
About the role
Your key tasks and responsibilities will likely include:
- Receiving legal tasks commensurate with your experience and completing them to a high standard
- Drafting high quality legal correspondence and court documents
- Running a standard (undisputed) property/ business transaction from start to finish with supervision
- Running straightforward litigation matters such as undisputed Summary Judgments, Default judgments, undisputed Limited Licence Applications, Without Notice Applications for Substituted Service/ Order Preventing Removal of Children from New Zealand etc. with supervision
- Assisting and actively participate in complex, substantive, and disputed litigation proceedings. Including briefing counsel
- Appearances in Courts, Authorities, Tribunals including Mediation, Negotiation, and Roundtable Meetings to provide high quality advocacy for clients as counsel (including driving to and from Court)
- Performing high quality, comprehensive yet relevant legal research
- File management of each and every client that you have carriage of, including accurate diarizing of Court events, client meetings. Maintain file organization and ensure all documents, emails, and file notes are up to date in both electronic and hardcopy file
- Draft public engagement articles including developments of recent law, success cases of Integritas Law Firm
- Record all timesheets every day for each and every client where the retainer is based on hourly rates.

Skills and experience
The following points are essential to be considered for this application:
- Minimum one (1) year PQE
- Good interpersonal and English communication skills
- Good understanding of the area of law/ practice in previous PQE
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Good problem solving and legal research skills
Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin/ Cantonese) will be advantageous but not essential.
Ability to write and type in Chinese (Simplified/ Traditional) will be advantageous but not essential.
