We are awarding winning Chartered Accountant firm (ATE) based in Auckland. We are looking for someone to join us supporting the team with administration and accounting duties. AUT Co-op programme are welcome.
As an assistant accountant intern, you will report to the manager, team leader, and work closely with the wider team. You will be responsible for:
- Answering and managing incoming calls from customers and suppliers
- Matching and coding invoices
- Bank reconciliation
- Prepare basic GST and Income Tax returns.
- Basic bookkeeping on Xero accounting software
- General admin duties as directed by your supervisor.
Skills and Experience:
- A positive can-do attitude
- Previous experience in an accounts role will be an advantage.
- A confident and clear phone manner
- Great attention to detail
- A willingness to learn new skills and develop
- Fantastic time management
