Job responsibilities:
· Responsible for monitoring and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
· Responsible for the recording and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation.
· Ensure employees are following all Food Safety and work safety practices.
· Collectproduct samples as required.
· Performprocess control inspections on products.
· Conducting and supporting investigations.
· Observe all safety rules which are established to maintain safe work practices, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, increase yields, and eliminate out of specification.
Success factors include:
· Ideally strong Food Safety/Quality experience in food manufacturing industries.
· Demonstrable independent and team working experience
· Experience with regulatory compliance.
· Food Safety & Quality systems and process skills.
· Education and Qualification:
· Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology or Science qualification or a minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control within a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry.
· Good knowledge of Quality systems (RMP, HACCP, BRC) would be an added advantage.
· Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
