We are looking for applicants for the position of Baker/Manager. This is a full-time permanent position, primarily managing all aspects of the outlet by assuring excellent customer service and controlling overall daily operations.About the role
There are 6 key components which make up the job of Baker/Manager for The Cheesecake Shop.

Baking or decorating:
The manager is required to ensure that all recipes and procedures are followed. As the Manager this will involve the physical baking or decorating of all products and from time to time overseeing and training of staff in the correct recipes and procedures. The manager is re responsible for the ordering of ingredients and materials for the production of all products. In the baking environment the manager must be detail oriented and have an eye for the look of the finished product as customers buy with their eyes first.

Staff Management:
The manager is responsible along with input from the franchisee for the determining of staffing levels and the employment of individuals to fill roles required. In addition the manager provides the initial and ongoing training of all staff under their direction. This includes production planning, scheduling and recording. The manager is responsible for ensuring that the payroll stays within budget. The manager is responsible to supervise work output and to create a team environment by handling employment issues and implementing appropriate behavior and performance directives. Within the store environment the manager is responsible for the ongoing training and monitoring of the appearance and effectiveness of all retail staff.

Cleanliness and Safety:
The manager must enforce standards regarding food handling, safety and sanitation. This requires knowledge of health department regulations, and an understanding of The Cheesecake Shop Operations and Health and safety Manuals. The manager must ensure that the sore appearance and overall operations are up to standard.

Equipment:
The manager must ensure the upkeep of all equipment in store including all preventative maintenance is completed as well as timely attention to any breakdowns.

Inventory:
Overseeing inventory is part of a mangers responsibility. Overseeing inventory involves ordering and rotating ingredients and materials such as flour, sugar, cheese, packaging etc. butter; it also involves receiving and unloading deliveries. Tracking inventory requires calculating the proper amount of ingredients necessary for production of goods on a given day or week. Furthermore, a bakery manager must keep an eye on demand for each kind of product to know how much to produce. The manager is to complete stocktakes when required in a timely and accurate manner.

Budgeting:
The manager is responsible for ensuring the profitability of the store. This means they must work within the confines of the stores budget in order to maximize sales. Budgeting involves knowing how to price when stock needs to move, tracking sales, and labour and inventory costs. In achieving profitability the manager is responsible to ensure that all sales are recorded and that all cash is banked intact.
The ideal candidate will have to possess the following attributes and experience:

    Has a proven experience as a baker specialising in chessecakes, mudcakes and sponge cakes for at least two years
    Has worked as a manager of a food retail business for at least three years(franchise required)
    Must have passion in both customer service and food hygiene standards (Food Safety Certificate and First Aid training  
     required)
    Physically fit to operate heavy-duty baking equipment
    Must be able to work any day of the week as we are open 7 days
    Able to work independently and with high level of integrity

Job Types:    Full-time, Permanent
Experience:

   Food Retail or Restaurant: 3 years (Required)
   Baking and Management: 3 years (Required)

Work Eligibility:
   The candidate can work temporarily with no restriction on hours (Preferred)
