Due to rapid growth, we are looking for a new full-time Junior project coordinator on permanent contract. This role would suit someone with a mixed understanding of Quantity Surveying and Construction Management (either academically or from working knowledge), and ideally working knowledge from commercial construction environment.

Growing rapidly, currently we have 6 multi-million projects running across Auckland and Queenstown, with the calendar booked in full for the next few years already.

What you will be doing:
- help with develop the project planning mainly in procurement and dispatch side at pre-construction stage;
- Help with QS doing project breakdown at pre-construction stage for preparing further planning;
- Support with managing the material of projects from concept to completion;
- Assist with recording programs, variations, defects and maintenance issues on site during construction stage;
- Document all project progress, ensure the paperwork is compliant;
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to the managers;
- Attend meetings and record meeting minutes;
- Assist with project set up and maintenance of documentation;
- Assist with site QA by using software;
- Update inventory/stock status weekly and monthly.

Who you are:
- Top must-have is you need to be a proactive person and take your responsibilities seriously;
- Although the company is well diversified culturally, since you will need to coordinate with our overseas suppliers, ability to communicate fluently in both Chinese Mandarin and English is essential;
- Can read and understand technical drawings and specifications;
- Have an understanding in construction programs;
- Strong communication skills both in language and in your communication manner;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Strong willingness and ability to learn;
- Experiences with Microsoft Office suite;
- Must have the right to work in New Zealand, you may be a citizen, resident or hold a non-employer specified work visa valid for at least 6 months;
- Good knowledge of construction materials and methods desired;
- Working knowledge within a commercial construction business strongly desired.
