Construction site supervisor (Full-time) Wanted
Grace Construction is the top construction company in Auckland providing foundation, steel, slab, and brick works in residential and commercial projects. We have undertaken and successfully completed many high value, technically challenging and prestigious projects in and around Auckland including schools and shopping centers.
Job requirements:
● Proficient in communicating in both English and Mandarin.
● Able to read and understand construction drawings and engineer details
● Full drivers license and ability to travel to different construction sites.
● site managing or supervising experience
● Responsible, motivated, pro-active, willing to learn, can effectively communicate with the upper and lower hand.
● Calculate material and costs for ongoing residential and large commerical construction projects.
Responsibilities:
● Translate and coordinate between project manager, site manager and workers who do not speak english.
● Communicate with contractors, clients, and suppliers by email and calls as instructed.
● Report work, important happenings, and issues to management.
● Read and understand construction drawings to know what is going, organise work, plan ahead, direct workers what to do as per construction plan, as well as communicate any issues in advance.
● Look over relevant health and safety bookwork on-site.
● Travel to various job sites for inspections, tool deliveries, and/or personnel issues.
● Work and assist the contractors’ project manager and site foreman.
● Assist with the oversight of the construction project.
● Complete and manage work reports including TA (Task Allocation), QA (Quality Assurance), and Daily pre-start meetings.
● Keep meeting minutes.
