This Kona Precept can do it all combing the rugged dependability of a DH machine with the lightweight components of an XC racer to bring you a truly ALL-mountain ride. Costing $3000 new, it climbs like an XC bike, the RockShox front suspension removes any doubt that this is a nervous descender.
That agility comes courtesy of Kona's butted-aluminum frame that features 120mm of Swinger Suspension travel in an active, balanced, low-maintenance design. Up front, RockShox's 120mm-travel fork sucks up the hits and rails the corners.
This capable bike is equipped with a 3x9 Shimano Deore drivetrain to conquer all sorts of terrain and Hydraulic disc brakes for serious stopping power. You also get reliable Kona controls, and fast 27.5-inch WTB wheels rolling on Maxxis Ardent tires. Is there anything you can’t do on this beast?
The RockShox XC30 forks help you blast through rock gardens and rough sections of gnarly trail. The rear sub frame is tight, with smooth bearings. Tires still have plenty of tread remaining. Always garaged. The mountain is yours without having to spend a fortune!
As you can see in the photos this 27 speed Kona Precept 120 is in great condition and comes well equipped with high end parts. A couple of small marks and tiny paint touchups applied, consistent with age. All superficial.
